The past year has brought much debate in the media about the appropriateness of various aspects of IAS 39 and the IASB are currently working on a project to replace this standard. Peter Gallimore and Michelle Mitchell of Deloitte have agreed to provide an update on Treasury accounting covering the changes to IAS 39 and the financial instrument accounting implications of the new IFRS for SME's.
