In September 2009 HMRC announced a requirement for tax computations and statutory accounts to be ‘tagged’ using iXBRL, but there remains a significant degree of uncertainty amongst organisations as to how to address this requirement. The ICAEW has teamed up with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wright Hassall and CaseWare to help answer the questions that are currently being asked:
- What is iXBRL?
- What's a taxonomy?
- What are my options in respect of iXBRL?
- How and where is iXBRL used already?
- Why does HMRC want to do this?
This is an area which continues to change but the sessions will aim to bring an up to date insight into the current thinking around iXBRL, and provide an insight into what is happening across a range of organisations which have to comply.
Each session will include presentations from:
- Dave Gandee - Director, Business Resilience, PricewaterhouseCoopers
- Steve Janes – Partner, Wright Hassall
- Software demonstration from CaseWare
At the conclusion of the presentations there will be the opportunity to raise questions with the speakers.
Cost: £30.00 + VAT per person (to include refreshments)
