The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales is the largest and most influential accountancy body in Europe with 128,000 members running and advising businesses of all sizes across the entire span of economic activity.

In addition to having practitioners on virtually every high street, approximately 60% of members work outside traditional practice in a variety of business roles including the majority of FTSE 100 Finance Directors. By drawing on the collective expertise of members, the ICAEW acts as an authoritative voice on business issues at regional, national and international levels.

The West Midlands Region comprises of the Birmingham and West Midlands Society (BWMSCA) and the Staffs Salop & Wolverhampton Society (SSWSCA). These district societies are the local point of contact and services for Chartered Accountants, providing a wide range of events and seminars.

Key to the activities of the district societies and the Regional Office are partnerships and reciprocal relationships with other business and professional organisations as well as representing the views of members locally.
